Tapas Night (New Date)

The beautiful Sakura flowers are almost gone in Tokyo, but this also marks the end of the cold winter days and revives the city street life.

In Spain, the beginning of the spring season awakes also a habit. Whether in the mornings, reading the news while having a tasty breakfast under the first sunlight of the day, or enjoying the warm evenings with friends and colleagues after work, if there is a concept even more extended all over Spain than paella, this is the bar terraces.

There is even a verb in Spanish for this: terraceo, which could be defined as “The act of sitting outside in the open air and watching people while eating, drinking and talking“.

After two years paused, Tapas Night, the casual networking event organized by the SpCCJ is coming back to one of the most Spain alike terraces in the heart of Tokyo, Bar Portillo de España in Marunouchi.

Join us on Thursday, April 28, and meet the Spanish professional network in Japan while enjoying a delicious selection of Spanish tapas prepared by Bar Portillo, especially for the occasion and free-flow drinks of wine and cava generously provided by the event sponsors.

The TAPAS NIGHT is a networking event organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (SpCCJ) to provide a place where Spaniards can mingle with other Spaniards and friends, as well as raise the profile of Spain’s Tapas culture and promote the different Spanish restaurants around central Tokyo.
