Japan, 24th April 2023.

X-ELIO, a leading global company specialising in the development of renewable energy projects, which has been operating in Japan since 2012, developing more than 380 MW of clean energy, has provided the local Community Promotion Council in Funaki with emergency shelters and sheds for the storage of goods in an Official Donation Ceremony celebrated this Saturday.

In order to help in the outcome of weather irregularities in the area such as earthquakes, heavy rain and wind complications, these materials will be donated through the support of the Community Promotion Council in Funaki, to a Local Elementary School and to the Local Community Center of Funaki.

The Ceremony counted the attendance of X-ELIO’s Country Manager in Japan, Luis Perezagua, X-ELIO’s Japan Team, members from the Community Promotion Council in Funaki, neighbours from the area as well as local press.

This agreement is part of X-ELIO’s Community Plan Program, which includes regional and local actions intended to promote the Program’s pillars of environment, education, communities and health.

Last year, under this same Program, the company donated three solar energy generators to The Sodegaura Neighbourhood Council, to help the region cope when electricity cuts occur due to weather irregularities in the area.
