Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE) is a historic Spanish family-owned wine group founded in 1879 in Haro, La Rioja. With more than five generations of winemaking heritage, CVNE operates multiple wineries across Spain’s leading wine regions and manages a diversified portfolio ranging from classic Rioja wines to premium and single-vineyard selections, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern production and quality control.

In Japan, CVNE’s commercial activities are carried out through its wholly owned subsidiary, Mikuni Wine Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based importer and distributor specializing in premium wines. Mikuni Wine supplies CVNE brands and selected international producers to a wide range of on-trade and off-trade channels nationwide, supporting long-term brand development and professional market engagement in Japan.

Mikuni Wine operates CUVÉE, an e-commerce platform offering a curated selection of imported wines, including Spanish labels, delivered directly to Japanese consumers. The platform leverages Mikuni Wine’s import and logistics capabilities to ensure product quality, proper storage, and reliable nationwide delivery, while also providing curated sets and seasonal selections for gifting and everyday enjoyment.

Through this integrated structure—production in Spain, professional distribution in Japan, and direct-to-consumer digital channels—CVNE and its Japanese operations contribute actively to the promotion and expansion of Spanish wine in the Japanese market.
