Tennis Gathering & BBQ Dinner 2026

Dear SpCCJ Members & Friends,
We are pleased to invite our community to the Tennis Gathering & BBQ Dinner 2026, an SCCIJ-led event organised in collaboration with AHK Japan and the Austrian Business Council.
Tennis holds a special place in Spain’s sporting culture. With six Spanish players having reached the top of the ATP or WTA singles rankings, Spain is among the countries that have produced the most world No. 1 players. The list includes historic figures such as Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, Carlos Moyá, and Juan Carlos Ferrero; more recent champions such as Garbiñe Muguruza; the legendary Rafael Nadal; and the current generation represented by Carlos Alcaraz.
With tennis holding such a prominent place in Spanish sporting culture, this is a particularly fitting opportunity for our community to enjoy the game, meet new people, and strengthen connections in an informal setting.
Hosted at the Yokohama Country & Athletic Club, the event is open to experienced players as well as those simply looking to enjoy an active and social day outdoors. Colleagues, business partners, friends, and family are also welcome.
Participants may join the full programme, the tennis gathering only, or the BBQ Dinner only.
Please note that tennis racquets are not available for rent at the venue. Participants joining the tennis activities are kindly requested to bring their own equipment.
