Our corporate member, Amadeus and their partners joined the “UMIGOMI (Marine Litter) Zero Week” activity, a joint project of the Nippon Foundation and the Ministry of the Environment last month. It was their first step of executing their project, “Huddle for a better future – Team Travel Japan Act 2022” to promote eco-tourism and sustainable tourism.

Its purpose is to promote sustainable actions by the Japanese travel industry, for Amadeus to be recognised as a leader in the Japanese travel industry from every angle, to encourage more cooperation and communication within the industry through sustainable activities, and to share and experience the every-changing nature and values of travel.

This project has started successfully as they collected 48 bags of 30L waste bags in total (14 bags of combustible, 19 bags of non-combustible, and 15 bags of bottles and cans) in Odaiba on 22 October 2022.
