Candidate Profiles for SpCCJ Board of Directors 2022-2024 Term

The following candidates have been nominated to be elected as a director.

    Candidate for Director

    Mr Kenji Arai

    Senior Coordinator at Freixenet Japan

I started my career at a Japanese Ramen company as a salesperson in the Nagoya area. After working for 5 years, I switched my career to the wine industry. I worked at several wineries as a salesperson, in Tokyo, Saitama and Tohoku area etc. In 2008, I joined Freixenet.

I enjoy running and skiing, and of course, I like drinking wine!

I work for Freixenet Japan immediately between the winery in Spain and Japanese customers with the primary purpose of promoting and developing the business in Japan and increasing the benefit of both.

I provide tailor-made support on how to start or develop businesses in Japan through every step of the process. Not only developing new business partners and just supplying the products but providing marketing research for developing exclusive items for Japan, brand strategy, brand promotion, logistic support and so on.

In addition, I try to deepen mutual understanding by making our winery in Spain and Japanese customers’ cultural differences which I believe most crucial point to achieve the goal.

I believe my experience and motivation could contribute as a member of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

    Candidate for Director

    Mr Toshiro Susa

CMO at Mikuni Wine Co., Ltd.

Marketing Director of Mikuni Wine Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CVNE in Rioja
I have been working at Mikuni for 30 years.
I love Spanish wine and Japanese sake, especially from my hometown, Niigata

Our company is currently only importing wine, but there are many wonderful products in Japan, so we’d like to export them to Spain and around the world and introduce to the world the wonders of Japan.

Spain and Japan have excellent Wine and Sake, so I would like to discuss while drinking them sometimes for creating an environment of the deeper relationship, develop business, and making many friends. .
A moderate amount of sake is good for health, and it also gives shy Japanese people like me courage and strength.
