Strategically located on the Strait of Gibraltar\, the Port of Algeciras handles over 100 million tonnes of cargo annually and serves as a key gateway for international maritime trade. Recognised as Europe’s most efficient container port and 12th worldwide in the World Bank’s 2025 Container Port Performance Index (CPPI)\, Algeciras is also strengthening its position as a leading bunkering port and an emerging green energy hub.
