DESCRIPTION:Dear SpCCJ Members & Friends\, We are pleased to introduce El Mentidero\, a new quarterly reception created to welcome new SpCCJ members and help them connect with the people\, activities\, and opportunities that make up our community. Its name comes from the historic mentideros of 16th- and 17th-century Spain—informal meeting places where merchants\, diplomats\, travellers\, and entrepreneurs gathered to exchange news\, share ideas\, and build trusted relationships. Inspired by that tradition\, El Mentidero offers a welcoming space for conversation\, introductions\, and new connections. Hosted at the Embassy of Spain in Japan\, this complimentary members-only reception provides new members with an opportunity to meet fellow members\, the Board of Directors\, Committee Leaders\, and the Secretariat in a relaxed setting. More than a networking event\, El Mentidero is a first step towards becoming an active part of the Chamber. Through facilitated introductions and informal conversations\, participants can share their professional backgrounds and business activities\, discover opportunities for collaboration\, and learn how to make the most of their membership.
