SUMMARY:The Future of Work – Redefining the Workplace & Impact on the Real Estate Market 2022
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce the joint seminar with the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ). \nWe now find ourselves over two years deep into a 50-million-person global experiment defining what a modern workplace should look like. Country\, business and community leaders continue to diverge on the question of where and how work should be performed\, while there has been a widespread shift towards repurposing the role of the office to better complement hybrid work. The impact on the office market has been significant and while rents have declined\, there has been a recent uptick in demand\, an indication of a changing mindset in Japan. \nAccording to a recent JLL study\, 57% of employees now prioritise work-life balance over other job perks\, while 52% stated that they miss personal interactions from the office. The new challenge for leaders will be to create an effective work environment that recognises these shifting needs of individuals\, and will entice employees to use the space for teamwork and collaboration. But in order to master this\, companies need to first understand the current and forecasted states of the real estate market. How are developers and key office markets responding to this shift in demand? Who will occupy all these new buildings under construction? And more importantly for you\, what will happen to your office rent going forward? \nThis 90-minute session will be the first of a three-part “Future of Work: Redefining the Workplace” series\, focusing on its impact on the real estate market in 2022 and beyond. We invite you to join us on the morning of June 22 for a hybrid event at the Tokyo EDITION Toranomon for an in-depth breakdown of the above\, where we will be joined by three experts at JLL for what promises to be an unmissable event. \nEvent Details\nDate: Wed\, 22nd June \nTime: 8:00am – 9:30am \nVenue: 2F Meeting Studio at The Tokyo EDITION\, Toranomon. \nPrice: \nIf you would like to attend this event\, \n\n6\,800 BCCJ Members (and SpCCJ Members)\n8\,800 Non-BCCJ Members\n\nIf you would like to attend ONLINE\, \n\n1\,500 BCCJ Members (and SpCCJ Members)\n3\,000 Non-BCCJ Members\n\n*If you are a SpCCJ member\, please contact us to get the discount. \nTo book your spot\, please click here! \nRegistration deadline: Noon\, Monday\, 20th June 2022 \n  \nAre you not a member of the SpCCJ yet? Find out more about the membership category and benefits on our website and contact us at info@spanishchamber.or.jp. SUMMARY:Women in business leadership roles: Lessons learnt
DESCRIPTION:International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on 8 March to recognise the social\, economic\, cultural\, and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality. \nAccording to UN Women\, 20 per cent more women in Asia-Pacific hold managerial positions today than two decades ago. Parity\, however\, has not been achieved in the bulk of countries across the region. Disturbingly\, women’s representation in middle and senior management jobs is even lower with only 17 % of senior and middle management jobs in the region occupied by women. \nTo raise awareness of the importance of gender equality and to discover the lessons learnt by those who have been able to break the gender gap\, the network of Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce in the Asia Pacific region is hosting a panel discussion inviting international female leaders from different industries and different cultural backgrounds. \nJoin us on March 23 for an evening of discussion\, reflection and discourse with a panel of successful women business leaders. You will hear about their journeys\, mindset and collective experiences across different sectors and countries. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate: Wednesday\, 23 March 2022\nPlace: Zoom Online Webinar\nTime: 17:00 – 18:30 JST\nLanguage: English\nRegistration Deadline: Wednesday\, 23 March 2022\, 12:00pm JST\nEvent Registration: WomenInBusinessLeadershipRolesLessonsLearnt  \nAre you not a member of the SpCCJ yet? Find out more about the membership category and benefits on our website and contact us at info@spanishchamber.or.jp. SUMMARY:SpCCJ Young Professional Mentoring Program
DESCRIPTION:As organizations have grown more complex\, employees often need to take a more meandering path instead of a straight line to the top. Lateral moves to different departments or divisions can broaden employees’ experience to prepare them for a larger role but also create doubts and insecurities. \nMentoring is a process\, both voluntary and based on trust\, by means of which a person with experience and the will to share it in an unselfish way\, tries to help another to achieve his or her goals and cultivate his or her skills through a series of conversations of a personal kind\, confidential and limited in time\, as well as with other learning activities. \nThe SpCCJ would like to bring the experience and industry knowledge of its business network by creating the SpCCJ Young Professional Mentoring Program to support our young professionals to develop their careers and support their personal growth as a member of society.  \nThe SpCCJ YP Mentoring Program will match mentors & mentees and\, during 6 months\, aim to create the perfect environment where mentors will provide support to their mentees regularly\, giving counseling on career and work-related matters but also providing other advice and useful information. \nApplication for becoming a Mentor and Mentee will be open until January 31. You can participate as a mentee if you are a young professional member or a young employee of an individual\, or a corporate member of our association. Mentors can be individual members or corporate members who wish to volunteer. \nIf you would like to be part of this program send us an email to info@spanishchamber.or.jp.  This program is free of charge.

SUMMARY:The Key For Activating The Japanese Renewable Power Market
DESCRIPTION:LEARN FROM THE EFFORTS OF EUROPEAN & US COMPANIESWe are delighted to announce that SpCCJ’s Corporate Member\, X-Elio will be speaking at the webinar entitled “The key for activating the Japanese renewable power market – Learn from the efforts of European & US companies -“\, together with ZECPOWER Inc. and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The webinar will be co-hosted by the Institute of Energy Economics\, Japan and the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation\, in collaboration with the SpCCJ. The spread of renewable power in Japan has been promoted through the feed-in tariff (FIT) since 2012\, but from 2022\, it will shift to the market-linked price difference supply system called FIP (Feed-In-Premium). In addition\, the non-fossil value trading market\, which trades the non-fossil value of power as a certificate\, started in 2018 and the system will be reformed this year. It is expected that more reasonable non-fossil value transactions will be expanded. These institutional reforms will be carried out in response to the demands of end-users of the power who are committed to the efforts of Net Zero such as RE100. At the same time\, the efforts of on-site and off-site corporate PPA are also expanding. In Europe & US\, a market system centred on renewable energy has already been established and many players are developing various businesses to popularize net-zero electricity. Based on this situation\, the institutional trends for activating the Japanese renewable power market and the efforts of European & US companies will be introduced for exploring the path of renewable energy power generation toward 2050 carbon neutrality in this webinar.
