The Board of Directors of the SpCCJ decided to recognise successful relations between Spain and Japan through the awards programme\, “Spain Japan Business Contribution Awards”. \nIn 2016\, the Award was given to LaLiga\, whose President Javier Tebas flew from Spain for the ceremony\, to recognize LaLiga’s impressive work around Sports Business\, from broadcasting and digital\, to fan merchandise and travel\, which influenced the Japanese football business a lot. In its second year in 2017\, the Award was presented to Rakuten’s CEO\, Mr Hiroshi Mikitani for their remarkable contribution to Spain Japan commercial relationship by investing in Spain in various sectors. Rakuten is also recognised globally as the Main Global Partner and the first-ever Official Innovation & Entertainment Partner of FC Barcelona since 1 July 2018. In 2018 we presented the Award to the Spanish multi-national automotive engineering company Gestamp Autotech Japan\, to recognise their outstanding performance in Japan\, which includes the launch of their R&D Centre in Tokyo and also the opening of production plants in Mie prefecture in Japan.  In 2019\, the award’s ceremony took place at the  Residence of H.M. Ambassador of Spain to Japan\, Jorge Toledoand the Award was presented to Fast Retailing Co\, Ltd\, to celebrate their rapid expansion in Spain with store openings of their signature brand UNIQLO\, in various locations in Spain. In 2020\, award’s ceremony took place at our corporate member hotel\, The Prince Park Tower Tokyo Hotel. In this fifth year\, the SpCCJ presented for the first time “the joint award” to Japan Airlines (JAL) and Amadeus IT Group S.A. The changes will be more fundamental as the possibility to preserve records of so called “electronic transactions” in hard copy format has been abolished from January 2022\, with the possibility of a deferred implementation over a period of two years. The webinar will be co-hosted by the Institute of Energy Economics\, Japan and the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation\, in collaboration with the SpCCJ. The spread of renewable power in Japan has been promoted through the feed-in tariff (FIT) since 2012\, but from 2022\, it will shift to the market-linked price difference supply system called FIP (Feed-In-Premium). In addition\, the non-fossil value trading market\, which trades the non-fossil value of power as a certificate\, started in 2018 and the system will be reformed this year. It is expected that more reasonable non-fossil value transactions will be expanded. These institutional reforms will be carried out in response to the demands of end-users of the power who are committed to the efforts of Net Zero such as RE100. At the same time\, the efforts of on-site and off-site corporate PPA are also expanding. In Europe & US\, a market system centred on renewable energy has already been established and many players are developing various businesses to popularize net-zero electricity. Based on this situation\, the institutional trends for activating the Japanese renewable power market and the efforts of European & US companies will be introduced for exploring the path of renewable energy power generation toward 2050 carbon neutrality in this webinar. In 2016\, the Award was given to LaLiga\, whose President Javier Tebas flew from Spain for the ceremony\, to recognize LaLiga’s impressive work around Sports Business\, from broadcasting and digital\, to fan merchandise and travel\, which influenced the Japanese football business a lot. In its second year in 2017\, the Award was presented to Rakuten’s CEO\, Mr Hiroshi Mikitani for their remarkable contribution to Spain Japan commercial relationship by investing in Spain in various sectors. Rakuten is also recognised globally as the Main Global Partner and the first-ever Official Innovation & Entertainment Partner of FC Barcelona since 1 July 2018. In 2018 we presented the Award to the Spanish multi-national automotive engineering company Gestamp Autotech Japan\, to recognise their outstanding performance in Japan\, which includes the launch of their R&D Centre in Tokyo and also the opening of production plants in Mie prefecture in Japan.  In 2019\, the award’s ceremony took place at the  Residence of H.M.
