Understanding your brain\, managing your emotions\, and being aware of your responses to stressors can give you greater self-control. Rather than a gimmicky guidebook\, this is a thorough look at how our brains react to stress\, threats\, hyperstimulation\, and the vices of our digital age. With proven techniques backed by solid\, up-to-date psychiatric research\, Estapé teaches us how to make the best of our lives. \nCombining science\, psychology\, and philosophy\, Estapé delivers practical advice about how we can cultivate a happy existence. This includes understanding the parts of the brain\, setting healthy goals and objectives\, strengthening willpower\, cultivating emotional intelligence\, developing assertiveness\, avoiding excessive self-criticism and self-demand\, and mastering the proven art of optimism. \nThe author has 20 years of business experience in the United States\, where the key to success in business\, especially among white-collar workers\, is having an MBA. There are many cases where one cannot even get a job without one\, so much so that the author has doubts about the MBA degree. He has seen many MBA graduates who are egg-headed\, as it were\, to the point of not being able to succeed. Through his own experience\, the author explains what it means to sell something and what it means to be customer-oriented. \nOe Masahiko was born on December 3\, 1946\, he graduated from Doshisha University in 1970 with a degree in economics\, and joined Matsushita Electric (Panasonic) in 1970. In 1984 he was transferred to National Home Appliance Company (New Jersey\, USA)\, was made General Manager of Matsushita Electric Company (Los Angeles) in 1987\, and Executive Officer in 1994 (based in Honolulu). SUMMARY:The Future of Work – Redefining the Workplace & Impact on the Real Estate Market 2022
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce the joint seminar with the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ). \nWe now find ourselves over two years deep into a 50-million-person global experiment defining what a modern workplace should look like. Country\, business and community leaders continue to diverge on the question of where and how work should be performed\, while there has been a widespread shift towards repurposing the role of the office to better complement hybrid work. The impact on the office market has been significant and while rents have declined\, there has been a recent uptick in demand\, an indication of a changing mindset in Japan. \nAccording to a recent JLL study\, 57% of employees now prioritise work-life balance over other job perks\, while 52% stated that they miss personal interactions from the office. The new challenge for leaders will be to create an effective work environment that recognises these shifting needs of individuals\, and will entice employees to use the space for teamwork and collaboration. But in order to master this\, companies need to first understand the current and forecasted states of the real estate market. How are developers and key office markets responding to this shift in demand? Who will occupy all these new buildings under construction? And more importantly for you\, what will happen to your office rent going forward? \nThis 90-minute session will be the first of a three-part “Future of Work: Redefining the Workplace” series\, focusing on its impact on the real estate market in 2022 and beyond. We invite you to join us on the morning of June 22 for a hybrid event at the Tokyo EDITION Toranomon for an in-depth breakdown of the above\, where we will be joined by three experts at JLL for what promises to be an unmissable event. \nEvent Details\nDate: Wed\, 22nd June \nTime: 8:00am – 9:30am \nVenue: 2F Meeting Studio at The Tokyo EDITION\, Toranomon. \nPrice: \nIf you would like to attend this event\, \n\n6\,800 BCCJ Members (and SpCCJ Members)\n8\,800 Non-BCCJ Members\n\nIf you would like to attend ONLINE\, \n\n1\,500 BCCJ Members (and SpCCJ Members)\n3\,000 Non-BCCJ Members\n\n*If you are a SpCCJ member\, please contact us to get the discount. \nTo book your spot\, please click here! \nRegistration deadline: Noon\, Monday\, 20th June 2022 \n  \nAre you not a member of the SpCCJ yet? Find out more about the membership category and benefits on our website and contact us at info@spanishchamber.or.jp. SUMMARY:Women in business leadership roles: Lessons learnt
DESCRIPTION:International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on 8 March to recognise the social\, economic\, cultural\, and political achievements of women – while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality. \nAccording to UN Women\, 20 per cent more women in Asia-Pacific hold managerial positions today than two decades ago. Parity\, however\, has not been achieved in the bulk of countries across the region. Disturbingly\, women’s representation in middle and senior management jobs is even lower with only 17 % of senior and middle management jobs in the region occupied by women. \nTo raise awareness of the importance of gender equality and to discover the lessons learnt by those who have been able to break the gender gap\, the network of Official Spanish Chambers of Commerce in the Asia Pacific region is hosting a panel discussion inviting international female leaders from different industries and different cultural backgrounds. \nJoin us on March 23 for an evening of discussion\, reflection and discourse with a panel of successful women business leaders. You will hear about their journeys\, mindset and collective experiences across different sectors and countries. \n  \nEvent Details \nDate: Wednesday\, 23 March 2022\nPlace: Zoom Online Webinar\nTime: 17:00 – 18:30 JST\nLanguage: English\nRegistration Deadline: Wednesday\, 23 March 2022\, 12:00pm JST\nEvent Registration: WomenInBusinessLeadershipRolesLessonsLearnt  \nAre you not a member of the SpCCJ yet? Find out more about the membership category and benefits on our website and contact us at info@spanishchamber.or.jp.
