DESCRIPTION:Dear SpCCJ MembersThe Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (SpCCJ) is pleased to invite you to the SpCCJ’s Spain Japan Business Contribution Awards 2019 to be held on Friday 15 November at the Embassy of Spain.One of the most important events of the Spain – Japan Business community is back again this November! In 2016\, the Board of Directors of the SpCCJ decided to recognise successful business relations between Spain and Japan through awards programme\, “Spain Japan Business Contribution Awards”.In 2016\, the award was given to LaLiga\, whose President Javier Tebas flew from Spain for the ceremony\, to recognize LaLiga’s impressive work around Sports Business\, from broadcasting and digital\, to fan merchandise and travel\, which influenced Japanese football business a lot.\nIt’s second year in 2017\, the award was presented to Rakuten’s CEO\, Mr. Hiroshi Mikitani for their remarkable contribution to Spain Japan commercial relationship by investing in Spain in various sectors. Rakuten is also recognised globally as the Main Global Partner and the first ever Official Innovation & Entertainment Partner of FC Barcelona since 1 July 2018.\nLast year\, we presented the award to the Spanish multi-national automotive engineering company Gestamp Autotech Japan\, to recognise their outstanding performance in Japan\, which includes the launch of their R&D Centre in Tokyo and also the opening of production plants in Mie prefecture in Japan.The 2019 award’s ceremony will take place at the Residence of H.M. Ambassador of Spain to Japan\, Jorge Toledo. And for this special occasion\, the famouse Spanish chef Josep Barahona will prepare a fantastic series of pintxos. SUMMARY:CLIC – Creative Linking of International Chambers
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, October 29 – Joint Chambers Networking Event organized by CLIC:CLIC is a loose organization of 11 smaller European Chambers of Commerce in Japan created for the purpose of organizing innovative networking events to enable trading of ideas between the members of the participating chambers. CLIC is the Austrian Business Council\, Belgian-Luxembourg\, Danish\, Dutch\, Greek\, Finnish\, Icelandic\, Norwegian\, Spanish\, Swedish and Swiss Chambers.  Moomin Monogatari – Piece of Finland in Japan  Moomin Monogatari is the theme park operating company behind Moomin Valley Park located in Hanno\, Saitama Prefecture\, opened in March 2019. Together with the neighboring Metsa Village opened in November 2018\, these two parks offer a window to Nordic lifestyle and more deeply into the life of the Moomin Valley Characters ever so popular in Japan. At the 8th CLIC Event Mr. Robert Hirst\, Chairmanof Moomin Monogatari Ltd. (Moomin Valley Park) will reveal the secrets behind the popularity of Moomin characters in Japan and what made him the spokesperson for the Moomin   About Robert Hirst\n\nBorn in the UK\, Robert Hirst graduated from Cambridge University and later went on to do an MBA at the  University of Pennsylvania. His main career has been in investment banking and the companies he has worked for include the World Bank\, Citicorp and AIG.
