DESCRIPTION:Let’s cheer together for our Spanish basketball player\, Sebastian Saiz! Only for SpCCJ Members! The Spanish basketball player Sebastian Saiz  has landed this season in Japan to play for one of the strongest teams of the Japanese Basketball League (B League)\, the Hitachi Shibuya Sunrokers. To celebrate the arrival of the first Spanish player in the team\, and build a stronger relationship between Spain and Japan through basketball\, the Shibuya Sunrockers is kindly inviting the SpCCJ Members to the match against Shiga Lakestars on 15 December. We have 20 tickets for our Members. In 2016\, the Board of Directors of the SpCCJ decided to recognise successful business relations between Spain and Japan through awards programme\, “Spain Japan Business Contribution Awards”.In 2016\, the award was given to LaLiga\, whose President Javier Tebas flew from Spain for the ceremony\, to recognize LaLiga’s impressive work around Sports Business\, from broadcasting and digital\, to fan merchandise and travel\, which influenced Japanese football business a lot.\nIt’s second year in 2017\, the award was presented to Rakuten’s CEO\, Mr. Hiroshi Mikitani for their remarkable contribution to Spain Japan commercial relationship by investing in Spain in various sectors. Rakuten is also recognised globally as the Main Global Partner and the first ever Official Innovation & Entertainment Partner of FC Barcelona since 1 July 2018.\nLast year\, we presented the award to the Spanish multi-national automotive engineering company Gestamp Autotech Japan\, to recognise their outstanding performance in Japan\, which includes the launch of their R&D Centre in Tokyo and also the opening of production plants in Mie prefecture in Japan.The 2019 award’s ceremony will take place at the Residence of H.M. Ambassador of Spain to Japan\, Jorge Toledo. DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, October 29 – Joint Chambers Networking Event organized by CLIC:CLIC is a loose organization of 11 smaller European Chambers of Commerce in Japan created for the purpose of organizing innovative networking events to enable trading of ideas between the members of the participating chambers. CLIC is the Austrian Business Council\, Belgian-Luxembourg\, Danish\, Dutch\, Greek\, Finnish\, Icelandic\, Norwegian\, Spanish\, Swedish and Swiss Chambers.  Moomin Monogatari – Piece of Finland in Japan  Moomin Monogatari is the theme park operating company behind Moomin Valley Park located in Hanno\, Saitama Prefecture\, opened in March 2019. Together with the neighboring Metsa Village opened in November 2018\, these two parks offer a window to Nordic lifestyle and more deeply into the life of the Moomin Valley Characters ever so popular in Japan.
